Bargaining Committee Election Update

The elections for the regional positions on the Bargaining Committee are almost over – be sure to check your personal emails for the electronic ballot and get your vote in.

During the process of the regional position election, the Executive has chosen a Table Officer to sit on the bargaining committee as well according to our bylaws.  Sister Lindsay Mills will be the Table Officer on the Bargaining Committee.  Congratulations Sister Lindsay.

CDU Reaches Settlement

Good afternoon Sisters and Brothers,

Congratulations to CDU for reaching a settlement late last night.

FYI, COPE 491 was informed by CDU at approximately 2:00pm EST on Friday, September 22nd that they were in mediation and there could be job action as early as Monday September 25th. At 10:00am EST on Saturday September 23rd CDU informed COPE they reached a settlement.

Committee Vacancies 2017

Sisters and Brothers,

COPE 491 has 2 vacancies on our committees and are canvassing members to find out who is interested in working on these committees. The committees that have vacancies are: Sick Leave Bank Committee and the Women’s Committee. The vote for the 2017 By-Election for Communication Education Officer opened this morning.  All eligible voting members should have received a ballot to their alternate emails; if you did not receive an electronic ballot, please contact your RVP immediately.
